Masks and Poems
Today for art, we talked about different ways people around the world make and use masks. I gave the students an animal poem. Their job was to make a mask of that animal, and then each group read their poem to the class. Take a look at their great work!

AR Party!
I am SUPER excited to announce that our whole class made the AR goal for March and April. We celebrated today with a lunch/movie party. Mr. Adams even stopped by to congratulate them!
You may be asking, "What is AR?" AR stands for accelerated reader. When students finish reading a story, they can go online and take a comprehension test on it. Most of the books the kids are reading are a half of a point if they get the questions all right. Longer books can be worth more. I gave the kids a goal of 5 points for 2 months. The first time around, eleven kids made it. This time around, all 22 kids made it! WOW! There were even three students with over 30 AR points for March and April. Way to go Logan, Gavin, and Carter! I am so impressed and proud of all of you!
