Does your child like to invent things? Check this out!

Principals and Superintendents: Please share with interested staff and/or families

Creativity, innovation, problem-solving and the invention process are the main elements of the MN Student Inventors Congress. Students are challenged to identify a problem, research it, test solutions, document results and then display results of this process. MSIC advisors receive a packet containing the information for the event and "hot to teach and invention unit."

School teams and or individual students are welcome to join!

Please register at www.mnscsc.org by January 30.

Participants: Grades K-12
Regional event: May 2, Madison East Mall, Mankato
Fee for materials: $25/individual (not with a participating school) or $75/district (no limit on number of students at the regional event). An additional $10/student fee is assessed for those wishing to display inventions at the regional fair (cost includes t-shirt and awards).

For more information: Contact Melanie Schmidt, MSIC Regional Coordinator at mschmi3@isd77.k12.mn.us or 507-317-5386.
